How does it work?
Bettarcar is an alternative to traditional car ownership; a marriage between a lease, loan, rental and subscription. This seems too good to be true. What's the catch?
By getting rid of things that don't add value, Bettarcar saves you time and money versus traditional car ownership. If something doesn't benefit you or improve your experience, we eliminate it, so that you're not footing the bill for things you don't need.

How long do I keep the car?
Most customers get a new car every 3 years. You can return your car anytime after 12 months by providing us 30 days’ notice or keep it for as long as you want. 12 month minimum term with no maximum term
What is the Peace of Mind Guarantee?
Since this may be your first time getting a car online, we know it's important to have total peace of mind that what you see is what you'll get. We want you to LOVE your new car, not be forced to take something that isn't what you wanted.
We guarantee that the car you order is the car you’ll receive. If your car is not as described, we’ll take it back and issue you a full refund. You can either switch to the right car or completely walk away with no obligation or penalty.
What our Peace of Mind Guarantee covers:
- The wrong car (example: order a Camry and receive an Altima)
- Far more miles than listed (example: odometer has 100 miles on it instead of 10)
- Not the model year you ordered
- Not the color you ordered
- Not the trim you ordered
- A car that is clearly not new
Additionally, you can always back out or change your order to a different car for any reason after placing your order as long as it's before you receive final approval, which requires your signature. We only want you to be our customer if you want to be our customer.
Our Peace of Mind Guarantee does not cover changing your mind after you have received the car (e.g., order a sedan then decide a couple days later that an SUV is preferred).

Is there a down payment?
No. We believe you should be able to get a new car without dipping into savings. There's no deposit needed either.
Are the cars new or used?
All cars are new when we purchase them. You’ll be its first customer. You're getting a new car from our fleet of cars.
How are the compared to payments determined?
Our pricing engine gathers current vehicle offers monthly to show you the estimated average payment for the same vehicle elsewhere assuming $0 down payment and the same miles selected.
What is included in my monthly payment?
The monthly payments shown on the website are for the car only and do not include taxes.
How does insurance work?
You can use any insurance carrier of your choosing. Prior to vehicle pickup, we'll need confirmation of your full coverage insurance policy with comprehensive and collision coverage, with bodily injury liability of at least $50,000 per person/$100,000 per accident, and property damage liability of at least $50,000 per accident with a $1,000 maximum deductible. If you have access to your online insurance account, this confirmation can be done in seconds.
Do you accept trade-ins?
Not at this time.
Do I own the car?
No, but you can buy the car anytime after 12 months.
Is there a referral program?
Yes! And you don’t even need to be a customer to reap the rewards. Whenever a friend uses your referral code to get a car, you receive a $500 Amazon gift card. Your email address is your exclusive referral code. Tell friends and family to enter it in the promo code box at checkout.
The referral program does have a few rules:
-The gift card will be sent out within 30 days of when a referred customer takes possession of their vehicle
-Must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for the referral program
-The person making the referral cannot be related to or live with the referred customer.
-Referral payouts may be subject to taxes – please check with your accountant or tax professional
-Bettarcar employees, their family members and affiliates are ineligible for the referral program
-There is no maximum to the number of customers you can refer
-Your referral code cannot be posted to a coupon or “promo” website (e.g., RetailMeNot or similar)
We have a pretty generous referral program but can only continue being this generous if good folks like you abide by the rules and don't take advantage of the program or try to pull a fast one on us. We reserve the right to refuse a referral if we believe the rules have been broken or the parties appear to be using it for something other than its intended purpose (telling friends and family about Bettarcar who previously hadn't heard of us).
Where is this available?
Any customer in the continental U.S. can get a car from our fleet of new cars. Our core states include Texas, California, Florida, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. For vehicles that come in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, typically, front-wheel drive vehicles are available in southern states and all-wheel drive vehicles are available in northern states.

What are the eligibility requirements?
To be eligible, you’ll need a credit score of 640 or higher, a valid U.S. driver’s license, verifiable proof of income, and be at least 21 years old. Meeting these minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee approval. Several factors will be evaluated.
Will my credit score affect my monthly payment?
Yes, payments are based on multiple factors, including credit score.
Will my credit score by affected by placing an order?
No. After you place your no-obligation order, to get you pre-qualified, we do a soft credit check that will not affect your credit score. Once pre-qualified, a full credit check will be done which will include a hard credit pull. But don’t worry, we will reach out to you prior to this step to get your permission.
What information do you need from me?
To get pre-approved, we just need your name and address. We’ll run a soft credit check that will not affect your credit score.
When will my car be ready?
On each cars’ page, you’ll see an estimated availability date. This is the first date we estimate the car will be available to you. Your car will typically be ready for pickup within 1-3 days of placing your order. Please note that there are occasionally delays beyond our control that could change that date by a couple days. We’ll always contact you as soon as we think there’s any chance your availability date may change.
Where do I pick up my car?
You can pick up your car locally from one of our partners, or have it delivered to your driveway. All you need to do is show your driver’s license to confirm your identity, get your keys, and be on your way.
Warranty and Maintenance
Is my car covered under a full factory warranty?
Yes, all cars are covered under a full factory warranty. If there’s a covered issue with your car, it can be repaired at no cost to you.
What happens if my car is damaged or in an accident?
If you’re involved in an accident, first call 911, then contact your insurance company, then contact us. If your car sustains damage or excess wear & tear not covered by insurance, you’ll be charged the cost to repair plus an administrative fee (if applicable).
Is maintenance included?
Generally, no. A few manufacturers include free maintenance on vehicles for the first 3 or 4 years to cover things like oil changes. Please confirm with your Advisor if this applies to your vehicle. But for vehicles without maintenance included by the manufacturer, you are responsible for ensuring your vehicle is serviced in accordance with the manufacturer recommended maintenance schedule.
Is Roadside Assistance included?
Most cars automatically come with standard 24/7 roadside assistance. This includes towing, battery jump start, tire change, fuel delivery (varies by make) and lock-out service.
What if I drive more miles?
We recommend selecting a mileage tier that corresponds with your typical driving habits. The mileage overage fee is $0.10 per mile, payable only when you return the car. For example, if you select 10,000 annual miles and return the car after 2 years having driven 22,000 miles, the total mileage overage charge would be $200.
